Spring is in the air!

Hi Everyone - and HELLO SPRING!  Our family is so excited that winter is over and warmer weather is upon us!  The kids cannot wait to play more outside (ME EITHER!) and not have to be bundled up constantly.  This week has been amazing!

Both the kids are doing absolutely FANTASTIC!  Cameron and Natalie are definitely best friends and enjoy being with each other.  They actually miss each other when they are apart!  Ryan and I take the kids to some activities separately and it is so cute to see them reunite : )  Cam and Nat are currently both swimming - Nattie isn't in a class (she only qualifies for the baby class because of her age) but Ryan tries to take her Sunday evenings to the Y.  It's so fun for her because she gets Daddy all to herself - and I get special time with Cameron!  Cammie is such a sweet and fun little boy to hang out with and I just love our little dates.

Cameron is still thoroughly enjoying school and can't get enough time with his friends.  He loves playing outside and is really starting to explore his imagination.  He is constantly talking to himself and running around playing games.  Cam is so cute, when I stop and listen/watch him when he is playing, his little face turns red and he tells me not to look at him!  He is still incredibly shy and takes a while to warm up to group situations.  I fully embrace his shyness because he still needs me sometimes.  I can't believe how big my little baby is getting.

Cam is starting to come out of his "Starwars" phase a little bit, though he still likes anything Starwars.  I'm a little relieved because it is all dark and scary for a 4 year old in my opinion!  He still loves superheros, construction trucks and of course GARBAGE TRUCKS!  I don't think the garbage truck fascination will ever go away and I honestly think that he will become a Garbage man when he gets older.  Our driver, Al, has been such a wonderful influence for Cammie.  Not only does he do an amazing job but he consistently interacts with the kids and is always positive.  What a wonderful experience for my kids!

Over the last couple of months, Ryan and I decided to assign certain chores for Cameron to do in order to stay busy and feel proud.  Of course emptying the trash cans was perfect for our little garbage man!  He also empties the recycling bins and dumps our compost bin.  On Wednesdays he gets to take the big cans out to the curb for Al - he takes all of this super seriously!  ADORABLE!  Cameron also gets to use the handheld vacuum and has his own cleaning cart!  He is such a responsible little guy that always wants to help.

April is the start of Tball!  Once again Ryan will be coaching Cammie's team!  Cameron is beyond excited and hopes that his best friend Jax will be on his team (fingers crossed!) He has his first official pair of baseball pants and literally wants to wear them everyday! Stay tuned for adorable updated next month!

Natalie is incredible!  Her speech is going so well right now - we cannot believe we are having actual conversations with her on a daily basis.  She no longer struggles to tell us what she wants or needs and very rarely throws a fit.  Nattie can easily tell us what she wants to do and loves being able to get her point across.  She is a very willful girl and knows what she wants!  At times it seems like a huge problem and can be annoying, but I need to remind myself that she will be a leader.

Nattie's favorite thing to do right now, besides following everything Cammie does, is dance.  This little girl can shake it!  She is pretty much dance to anything but her favorite genre right now is definitely 1970's rock and roll.  Her favorite song right now is "Cowboy Song" by Thin Lizzy and can literally listen to it on repeat for hours!  Every song has a different dance and she is very serious.  We can stare at her for HOURS if she would let us.  Nattie still very much loves Adele and wants to hear "Hello" at least once a day.  She is such a sweet, feisty little thing.

Natalie is starting to express to us that she wants to go to school like Cammie.  I'm not sure if she wants to go because he goes and their friends (Avery, Jax and Ella are in Cam's class) or if she is really ready to go.  She isn't showing any interest in potty training - which is a requirement to start PreK.  Next year, we decided that we will wait until she is 4 to start PreK.   I will try to find fun classes and activities to do while Cammie is at school for her.  I absolutely LOVE having special time on Tuesdays and Thursdays with her.  She is such a bright spot in my day.

Both kids and thriving and doing well.  I just realized today how big they are getting.  This summer will be such a fun time because they are both at an age where is can sit back and watch them have fun.  Camping will be amazing this year and more picnics, playdates and beach days!  We cannot wait!!

I hope everyone has a great April and enjoys this amazing weather!  Hugs!!
