SUMMERTIME!

Hi everyone!  Can you believe June is already over??  This month literally flew by and couldn't have been more fun.  July and August are going to be equally busy for us and we have a ton of exciting activities and adventures planned!  We are going camping 3 times, going to Hawaii (YAY!) and hopefully moving into a new house!  So many exciting things!

Cameron is officially on summer break from school.  I can tell he is missing the routine and structure that Preschool offered to him and of course his little friends.  We have already had a couple playdates with his friends since summer break but I'm really going to have to make a conscience effort every week.  It is so fun to see him interact with his friends because he is truly one of the sweetest little boys I've ever met.  He fusses over his friends and wants to make sure everyone is having a good time.  After we leave his friends, his comments crack me up!  "I am the happiest Cameron in the world because I got to see Jackson twice today!"  Next school year will be awesome.  There will be 16 kids in Cam's class next year (8 kids last school year).  He can't wait to meet more new friends!

This week is the end of Cam's Tball season - just one more game on Saturday.  He had an amazing time this season and couldn't wait for practices and games.  Cam's skills have improved quite a bit and he is a hitting machine!  Ryan has been working with him on hitting the ball without the tee - he is awesome!  Of course his favorite part of the season was getting a new trophy for his collection.  He is now requesting a new shelf for all of his future trophies because he loves sports and is going to run out of room - HAHA!

Another big moment that happened this month for Cammie - he started riding his bike!!  In the past, he straight refused to get on his "Big Bike" and would come up with any excuse to avoid trying.  It has been worrying me for over a year now because I thought he would have loved to ride because of sports.  Last week, my friend Jeanine and her daughter Brooklyn RODE over to our house on her new bike.  Cameron wanted to show off his "Big Bike" to BK and decided to take it for a spin!  Now, he wants to ride his bike everyday and is doing amazing!  He was able to go to Jackson's house yesterday and ride bikes - it was such a cool moment for us.

Cam is at an "interesting" age right now.  I feel like I've mastered the baby and toddler phases and know what I'm doing and feel confident about it.  Preschool phase is a lot more challenging and at times, I feel super out of my element.  Cameron constantly needs to be entertained and challenged or he becomes whiny and actually uses the term "Bored".  This is foreign to me because he always seemed to find something to do.  He is always moving and hardly takes a break - couple that with NO MORE NAPS and waking up before 6am everyday.  This mama is exhausted!!  I'm finally getting him to try new things and make the most of his imagination.

Cameron is such a smart boy and is becoming a kid!  It has been so fun to sit back and watch him tackle challenging playground equipment, bikes, coloring books and games.  I'm so proud of my son and can't wait to enjoy a long summer together!  He forces me to be a better person and think about life.

Natalie is doing amazing and I enjoy being with her SO MUCH!!  She is such a sweet little girl and couldn't be funnier.  Nat has such a funny personality and definitely knows what she wants and what she doesn't.  She seems to be snapping out of her "Terrible Two Tantrums" quicker (Still has them every now and again).  This is a big deal for her because she is a little more predictable and easier to deal with.  Maybe it is just me adjusting to her tantrums better - Cameron never did them so it was quite an adjustment!

Nat is super excited to have Cammie on summer break!  Now she gets to hang out with Jackson, Ella and Cam and be a big kid too!  It is super adorable to see her interacting with other kids.  She is a great little sharer and loves to please other kids.  I know she is a tough little girl but I fear that she is a little passive when other kids take things from her or push her.  Only time will tell!

Ryan and I made the decision to keep her out of Preschool until next summer because of her age.  She will just be 3 years old when this school year starts and we don't want her to attend preschool for 3 years.  That being said, I'm really going to have to get her involved in activities when Cam is in school.  I'm hoping to get her into gymnastics or a preschool play group of some kind.  She absolutely LOVES being independent and outgoing - not a shy bone in her little body!  Speaking of body, Nattie is growing like crazy!!!  She is 100% into 4T and will soon be into 5T shirts!  Just to compare, Cameron is just now out of 5T and he is 4.5!  She is such a tall girl and couldn't be any cuter.  I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful little girl with an equally beautiful heart.

I hope you all have a great July and stay safe over the 4th of July weekend!  We will be traveling to Ocean Shores to camp this weekend!  WOOHOO!!

HUGS!
