Goodbye 2014! It was an AMAZING year!

Hi Everyone!  I hope the Holidays were fun, exciting and not to stressful for you!  We had a wonderful December that was made extra special because of our babies.  Christmas time was always fun growing up - the Christmas movies, music, food, family, gifts, tree, lights... But Christmas time with kids is 100x more fun!  I loved watching their little expressions every morning when we looked to see what our Scout Elf "Buddy" was up to.  For those who don't know what an "Elf on a Shelf" is, "Buddy" is sent down from the North Pole by Santa to keep an eye on the kids and play funny tricks on them.  I will include pictures of Buddy's tricks.

We had a awesome month full of family and friends!  We went to Ocean Shores with my parents and the kids for Ryan's company Christmas party at the beginning of the month.  They watched the kids and we were able to go out!  It was amazing!  We had a ton of playdates including a visit to see the Christmas trains at Seattle Center with Auntie Kate!  We do it yearly and Cam and now Nat look forward to it.  We also had the privilege of hosting Christmas Eve for my extended family.  We had such a great time and hopefully we can host every year!!!

I'm going to be lame and keep this blog entry on the shorter side - I have a lot of things to get ready for CAMMIE'S 3RD BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!!!  I can't believe my little baby boy will be three in the morning.  He has been an absolute dream and I couldn't be any luckier to have him as my son.  Over the last three years, Cameron has taught me patience, unconditional love and the reason why I'm here - to be his mama.  Of course we have our rough days but oh my, they are totally outweighed by our amazing days.  The last three years have flown by and I wish I could keep him small.  I'm excited that he is growing up to be a sensitive, compassionate, empathetic boy but I really don't want the now to end!  I'm sure it sounds very selfish, but I'm over the moon in love with my sweet boy.

Ok now that I'm tearing up, lets move on to the update of the kidlets!!  Cameron just finished his first swim class at the Covington Pool.  He loves swimming, especially jumping into the water!  He did so well that we decided to put him in another class after the new year.  He will also be doing T-Ball in the Spring and Basketball (maybe) around February.  He is really enjoying sports and we feel that it is important to have the kids get out there and be active.  This next round of swim lessons, Nattie will get in on the action!  She is a little more sensitive so hopefully she will be having as much fun as Cammie.

Cam's verbal skills impress me everyday.  It completely throws me off sometimes when he asks for something with ease or expresses his feelings effortlessly.  He does a great job of expressing himself instead of throwing tantrums or fits.  I would said that in his three years, he has had maybe 3 freak outs.  I'm beyond proud that he is learning how to communicate and sees the benefits of using his words.  Cam is also starting to "allow" Nattie to interact with his things a bit more.  Don't get me wrong, he is still as possessive as any three year old, but he is making progress!!

Cameron has totally changed my life.  I couldn't believe my life without him in it.  Everyday is a blessing and I consider myself the luckiest mama in the world.  I love you Bug.  More than you will ever know.  I will always be your biggest fan.

Now to Miss Natalie Quinn.  She is doing fabulously!  Nattie has really shown her personality this month!  She is an absolute goofball who loves to dance and laugh.  It is so funny because Cameron is so serious all the time!  Nat is still holding off on verbalizing - which is ok because she is excelling physically!  Man this little girl can walk, climb, run and jump like crazy!!  Her favorite things right now are dancing to Salsa and Reggae music and doing EVERYTHING that Cameron is doing!

Nattie is still a great eater and eats just about everything you put in front of her.  I noticed that she is becoming a little more picky but definitely not as much as Cameron.  She thinks she is so big because she eats at the kids table with Cameron during lunch now!!  She loved to color, do stickers with Cam and dance!

Both kids are doing fantastic and I couldn't be more happy at their progress.  My wish for them this upcoming month is that they play together a little bit more and show "Love" more often without us having to force them.  We can all wish right?!

Like I said before, I'm going to keep this blog entry on the shorter side this month.  I hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve and a great New Year!  Stay safe friends and family!  We love you all!

Thank You.
