Happy New Year from Cameron!

Hi all! I hope everyone is having a good 2013 so far like we are. Cameron had an amazing birthday and has been enjoying all of his new toys, books and clothes he received for Christmas and his birthday (Thanks again everyone!!) He is such an animated, sweet little boy who has a fun personality and charm. This last month, he has really started to learn more things (language, actions and expressions). He is quite the little piglet in the food department and LOVES to eat! His current favorites are blueberries, cheese, avocado and chicken tenders. Cam clears his highchair every meal - well, I'm sure he gives a few pieces to his favorite ladies! His vocabulary has developed a little more this month. He can now say, "Dada (Daddy)""Mama (Mommy)""Papa (Grandpa)""Puppies""Baba (Milk)""Go""Stop it (Only in a playing manner to his Nonna)""Uppy (Up)""Baby""Gobble (His favorite dinosaur book says gobble in it)" and "Pickle." Cameron is also starting to understand what we are saying to him more now too. When we tell him to stop, he usually stops. When we tell him to go over there or go grab something, he does. He now does some gestures to songs that we sing - the itsy bitsy spider (he makes the spider crawling gestures) and patty cake. He constantly has a smile on his cute little face! He dances, claps and bounces on command and even holds objects up to his ear and makes a noise like he is answering a phone!! I would say his sweetest thing that he started doing is giving his favorite things "snuggles." He always crawls up to Basil and Lola and sits right next to them, bends over and lays his head on them. Then looks to us for a reaction, which is always "AWWWWWW!" He does this to family members, dogs and blankies. He also knows how to fluff pillows when we make the beds! Cameron already knows how to give a cheesy smile - closes his eyes and shows off those little teeth! Speaking of teeth, Cameron just cut a new tooth this week. It is on the bottom left. This brings the tooth total to 5! The worst thing that Cam is currently doing is razzing in people's faces. Those razzes are usually full of spit - GROSS!! Hopefully this is a very short phase because Mama and Daddy are over it! Cameron is a rockstar when it comes to napping and sleeping. He still takes two one-hour plus naps everyday and goes right down at 8pm for the night. Maybe that is why he is such an easy baby. He is getting better with standing on his own and is taking more risks when it comes to walking. He still isn't walking, but he can take his time with this milestone! This month, we decided to take a little vacation to Chelan for a week. We stayed in a condo just outside of Chelan in Manson and the view was amazing! The snow is starting to melt which is a bummer but we got a little bit of sledding in. Our days consisted of napping, playing, watching movies, enjoying the wood burning fireplace, sledding, cheese tasting (YES Cameron went cheese tasting!) and long drives. It was very relaxing and fun. This was a very fun month for Cameron that was full of family time, play dates, a vacation and lots of activity.
