Last couple days of being a family of three

Hi loved ones! I hope this post finds everyone well. We are down to the last couple days of being a little family of three! We are very excited to meet this little girl and start our lives as parents of two little kids. Ryan has completely surprised me and seems totally together about this major change in our lives! He claims he is not nervous at all and can't wait for her to get here. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for her to get here either, but I'm still nervous about having another baby! I think he has mentally blocked out the "Zombie Phase" of the first few weeks of being a new parent (I don't blame him!) He is a huge help for me and I undoubtedly know that he will be there every step of the way. He is so great with Cam and they have so much fun together! Cam now understands that there is a baby growing in mama's tummy (just realized it at the beginning of August). He touches, rubs, hugs and kisses my belly and points to it when you ask him where the baby or "sissy" is. It is the cutest thing! Other than that, I don't think he knows what is about to happen. I'm sure he will adjust well to his new baby sister in no time but I still worry (Yes, I'm a worry wort!) My biggest fear is that he will feel left out or jealous of this baby taking mama's time and attention away from him. We shall see! Cammie has continued to delight us this month. His vocabulary has increased dramatically and he is beginning to put sentences together. Some of his new words include: Ice, me (he now knows himself in pictures and points himself out), frog, spoon (poon), fork, apple, cheese, blueberries (booberry), crackers, cookie, shoes, bus, boots, trucks, Monsters (MON!) books and more. The sentences he is putting together incude: I do, I did, I walk, Me more, and more (baby brain). He also is completely aware of everything that moves - cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, airplanes, helicopters, trains, buses and bikes. He LOVES cars - the movie and actual cars. I am very surprised how much he picked up within a month and does such a wonderful job at communicating to us without getting frustrated. Potty training is still going, slowly going. He is very interested in potty time for everyone (There goes the last of my personal time!). He even declares when the girls go potty on walks (A POO!!!!) I will continue to put him on the potty when I go into the bathroom and he has been telling us when he needs to go #2 (I POO!) I decided to give Cam a couple chores that he can help with daily to teach him responsibility and keep him busy. He gets to help with the laundry (very exciting and seriously endless in our house!) I stand him on the dryer and he gets to pull out the dirty clothes from the laundry basket and throw them into the washer. Then he knows to pour the detergent into the washer, close the lid and push the on button all by himself. After the washer is done, he stands in front of the dryer and I hand him the clean wet clothes to put into the dryer. After all the clothes are in there, he puts in the dryer sheet and I put him on top of the dryer to push the on button. When the dryer is done, he pulls all the clothes out of the dryer and puts them into the laundry basket. He then drags the basket into the living room and dumps it out. ALL BY HIMSELF! After all these steps, he squeals, "I DID!!!" It is so cute to see him proud of himself! His second chore is feeding the girls. After I put the food into the dishes on the counter, I hand him the bowls and he puts them onto the floor. It's the cutest! Some of his favorite activities this month (and continuing from before) include: Driving the car (consists of him crawling around the front seat and dancing to music), going for walks - which now he wants to walk the whole way himself, swinging, My Gym, Cars, making piles with blankets and snuggling into them, reading books and his Papa. Cameron loves his Papa SO MUCH and constantly talks about seeing him and things they have done together - ADORABLE! We recently went on a boat cruise around Lake Union and Lake Washington with our family and had so much fun! Cameron had a lot of fun on the boat and was excited to eat dinner next to Papa. After the cruise, we took him over to the spray park on the waterfront and he ran through the water with Papa, Uncle and Auntie. We walked down to the water and Uncle and Daddy jumped off the bridge and he was soooo excited! What a fun day! We are beyond proud of Cammie and can't imagine things getting any better with him. He is such an outgoing, friendly, happy boy who loves to show off and laugh. He is the ideal son and I can't believe he is ours! We know he is going to master the big brother role and we can't wait to see him in action. Baby girl is growing like crazy and is developing right on track according to my Dr. We have made it to the weekly OB appointments which doesn't sound like fun but it means there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! My due date is 9-13 but my OB thinks that I will be having her early. So, it's any day now really!! All of our bags are packed, car is loaded, freezer meals are made, laundry is caught up and I'm spoiling myself by hiring a cleaner to come in on Thursday for a deep cleaning of the house. I hope I have a fast labor and delivery like I did with Cammie but I understand every baby is different. I just hope I make it to Swedish in time and don't have a freeway baby! We will let everyone know when she decides to make her appearance and can't wait to show off our little lady! Thank you all for your well wishes and checking up on me. I feel so loved and overwhelmed by the attention that I am receiving. We are one lucky family for sure. To finish up the last post of just The Ham, here are some pictures of Cammie! My next post will be after baby girl comes and will probably be fairly short. I just want to post some pictures of our new family! Love to all

Thank You.
