I have recently made a huge decision with my blog. With the kids away from me during the day most days, it has been increasingly difficult to keep up with their activities on the blog. I feel like my blog posts are becoming more and more alike and feels a bit forced. I have decided that I will continue posting my blog, but instead of monthly, I will be doing it every three months. Doing it this way will give me more to write about and most importantly, give me more time to be with my babies! I've loved writing this blog every month since before Cameron joined our family. It has been a great way to keep family and friends updated on our little family. It has also be amazing to look back on how much our family has grown over the last 7 years!
Cameron has been doing amazing and continues to thrive at school. It is so awesome to hear him read books all by himself! He is very confident and proud of himself and it shows in his homework and classwork. We are so very proud of him. His "Celebration of Learning" is next week and we can't wait to see all his work at school. I get an opportunity to work in his classroom weekly, so it will be great for Ryan to see how hard Cameron works.
Cam is absolutely OBSESSED with basketball at the moment and is watching games every chance he can get! He asked (and received) a Gold State Warriors basketball jersey and has been trying to wear it to school without an undershirt LOL. We attended a Huskies men basketball game in January as a family and had a blast! Cameron was interested the entire time and loved how close and fast paced the game was.
Natalie is also thriving at school and continues to grow academically. She is definitely confident in her reading skills and has been reading Bob Books for about two months now! She gets very excited and squeals when she finishes her books. I absolutely LOVE seeing how proud she is of herself! It is one of the best parts of being a parent. Natalie is doing her ballet and tap class right now and is still loving every second of it. This spring will be her last session with Ms Alex's class at the Lodge - SO SAD! Hopefully we will find her another dance class in the fall after she gets out of school.
Nat hit a major milestone in January - SHE STARTED RIDING A BIKE WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS!!!!! I couldn't believe how confident she was! One day she came home from school and randomly asked me to take off her training wheels. She said that she was a big girl now and needs to ride a two wheeled bike. I took off her training wheels and off she went! She only fell one time! She is doing wonderfully but still needs to figure out how to stop LOL
We had such a great January this year. I just finished my fourth Whole 30 and feel amazing! Ryan joined me with the no alcohol for 26 days and felt great too! I was extremely lucky this round because my good friend Marcie did it with me. It was so much easier having the emotional support of a friend going through it. We shared recipes and talked A LOT about food and cravings!
The kids had their first official sleepover with a friend! Their friend Makena spent the night one night and they all had a blast! They made a fort in the playroom, had a ton of snacks and watched a movie. I have never heard my kids laugh as hard as they did that night. They genuinely had an amazing time. Unfortunately they went to bed super late and woke up before 5am! They are clearly not old enough to have a sleepover (I would have been fine if they slept in!!) Hopefully by summer they will be better about sleeping in. I want them to have many, many more sleepovers at the house.
Another highlight of our month was going to the Monster Truck Show with our great friends Andy and Erin! We don't get a chance to hang out a lot (LIFE) but every time we do, it's like we are with each other all the time. Such a fun time! It is so cool to see them as parents and have our 4 kids interact together. I love it.
It's so awesome to see how far the kids have come! Thank you to everyone that continues to read my blog and I promise I will keep up with it every 3 months : )
