Out and About

Hi everyone! Another month has come and gone - hope everyone had a great one like we did. We have been very busy lately with doctor appointments, playdates, work, activities and family get togethers. Ryan has been working extremely hard (always does but he has been especially busy this month). He is a project manager on site for a job in Seattle - ironic since we just moved down south for his work and now he spends most days up north. I'm proud of him and glad he gets to show off his amazing talents as an engineer. Ry also started up softball again this month (located in Shoreline). The season started off rocky because of the weather but now Red Machine is kicking butt and having some fun! Cameron and I have been busy as well. Because he is so mobile and wants to explore new things, I have made a huge effort to plan at least two activities for us per week. I know it doesn't sound like much, but when you are 6 months pregnant, it's a lot!! Every Monday, Cam attends his "My Gym" class in the morning. He absolutely LOVES going to this class. I'm now noticing that he is sharing a lot more, taking turns, trying new (and sometimes scary) things and showing off. He has several favorites that attend the class with them and I think he looks forward to seeing them every week. This month, we have done a lot of new activities: Zoo, Pacific Science Center, ferry boat ride to Vashon Island, mall walking at Southcenter, exploring new parks, feeding the ducks at the beach, going to the Mariners game and more. I decided to put myself out there and joined a new mom's group down south. Apparently there are several pregnant moms with toddlers, toddlers Cammie's age and some younger and older. I'm super excited to meet new people and expose Cam to new friends! Our first playdate is scheduled for tomorrow morning. We will be going to Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue to visit the barn yard animals then have a picnic! It should be great! These moms even schedule a "mom's night out" every month. I cant wait! Ok, more about the star - the HAM! I swear he had a growth spurt this month because he looks and feels heavier and longer. He had a hard time sleeping at the beginning of the month (of course, only at night). I attributed it to the growth spurt but who knows. He knows a lot of animal noises now and loves to recite them (cow, kitty, dog, wolf, bunny, elephant and trains too). He also started saying a few new words: cars, wa-wa (water), more (words and signing). Cameron is very aware of trucks, cars, trains and airplanes. He loves looking for airplanes in the sky and gets so excited when one flies by. After he watches it for a minute, he waves bye bye - adorable and never gets old. The cutest thing he started doing was a little face when he hears a train or airplane coming. His eyes get huge and his mouth hangs open wide. I love it! Cam loves playing tag with daddy, building "trophies" with his blocks, watching "Bob the Builder" and going for nightly walks with the family. He is super easy to communicate with and does fine letting us know what he wants without getting frustrated. I'm so happy that I can ask him to go do something and 98% of the time he actually does it. He even cleans up his toys!! I couldn't be prouder of him. Not much news about baby girl this month, although I have my 25 week OBGYN appointment tomorrow. We have decided on a name for her (sorry, we are keeping it to ourselves again!) I am finally putting on some baby weight and thankfully most of it is in front! My appetite has very much increased and I can't get enough water during the day. Sleeping at night is becoming uncomfortable most nights because my belly is getting so big. But I'll tell you, there is no better feeling then when I have Cam on my lap and he is snuggling my belly and baby girl is kicking around. I have both my babies close to me, happy and healthy. I love being a mom! It is the most rewarding job in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Sometimes I get nervous and question my sanity on how I'm going to have two babies so close together in age. But every morning when Cam smiles and says, "MAMA!" I know everything is going to be alright. To finish up the blog, here are pictures of Cam! I hope everyone has a wonderful June!

Thank You.
