Busy Bees

Hi Everyone!  I hope everyone is enjoying this amazing weather!!  We can't get enough of this and hope it continues to be beautiful and mild.

We have been extremely busy the month of April.  That said, it has all been positive and fun busyness!  Last week, Cammie started Teeball practice and his games start Mother's Day weekend.  Ryan decided that he wanted to coach again and Cam couldn't be happier.  Another reason Cam is happy is because his best friend Jax made it on his team!  Now they get to see each other at least 4 times a week (and I get to see Kellie!!)  Teeball is fun for Natalie too because she has a little friend that she can run around and play with during practices and games.  Hailey is so adorable and is almost the exact same age as Nat.  They run around giggling and chasing each other - SO CUTE!!  Stay tuned for awesome baseball pictures soon.

April was the last month of swimming lessons for Cam until Teeball is over.  His swim was on Friday nights and with Teeball on Wednesdays and Saturdays, it was going to be way too much.  Ryan is amazing and still takes BOTH kids to the YMCA open swim on Sunday evenings.  That pool is so cool because the Y can raise the floor so preschoolers can touch the bottom!  Cameron thinks he is so tall!  Ryan is such a good dad.  He always makes time for the kids and tries to take them on special adventures whenever he can.  It is so cute to see the kids light up when he gets home and run to him screaming, "DADDY!!!"  I try to tell Ry as much as I can how much I appreciate and love him.  THANK YOU BABE!

Cameron is in the home stretch of the 2015-2016 school year.  He has about a month and a half of classes left before summer break - and explaining summer break to a 4 year old isn't easy.  Cam gets sad because he thinks he is never going back to school and will miss his friends.  Fortunately, all of his friends will be moving up to the last year of PreK together!  I still can't believe he has one more year of PreK before KINDERGARTEN!!!!  He is doing so well at school and loves his teachers (Ms Melissa and Ms Dana).  Every week, Cam comes home beaming and excited to tell me what he did.  This is actually a new thing for him (within the last month).  Usually he replies, "NOTHING" when I asked what he did.  I'm happy he is expressing more to me.  Lucky for Ryan and I, Ms Melissa spoils us by sending a weekly email explaining what the class did for the week.

Cammie is still a bit shy when meeting new people but seems to be warming up quicker.  He still idolizes his older cousins, Jordan and Tony and hangs on their every word.  We are so blessed that both boys are great examples and are very attentive to both our the kids.  Natalie would get up ANYTHING to be with Jordan.

Cam is doing great around the house with his chores and loves to help and show interest in cleaning and cooking.  His chores now include:

- Taking out the recycling to the big can
- Taking out the small garbage cans to the big can
- Emptying the kitchen compost
- Helping with the laundry (putting in the washer and moving to the dryer)
- Putting his folded clothes away in his drawers

He gets himself ready every morning (gets dressed, puts his jammies in the laundry, puts toothpaste on his and Nattie's toothbrushes, puts his shoes on and gets himself in the car.  I'm so proud of him and can't believe my sweet baby is getting so big.  Another huge accomplishment from Cam is that he has potty trained at night.  I think he could have done this earlier but was using PULLUPS as a crutch for some reason.  He keeps referring to himself as a "BIG KID" now and loves to remind me that he doesn't need help sometimes. I have to admit, I feel a bit of relief that he is making huge progress and has become extremely independent.  On the other hand, I'm a little sad that he doesn't want me to help him or baby him.  I feel like the last 5 months have flown by and I want time to slow down...

Natalie is completely rocking life right now!  I don't know where to start!  Her personality is so funny and provides hours and hours of entertainment.  Her favorite things to do right now is dance and sing.  Her favorite song right now is "Cowboy Song" by Thin Lizzy and can literally listen to it over and over again while spinning and singing.  It is so sweet to watch her.  She has always loved music but she now has certain dances for every song.  Nattie loves making people laugh and smile.

Nat's two year old attitude is definitely in full force right now.  She is extremely opinionated and willful, which is severely challenging at this point in time but will prove beneficial in the future.  Our goal is to raise a strong, proud and self confident young lady.  We hope this is just a glimpse into her bright future and wish her nothing but the best!!

The first major event that happened in the month of April is that Natalie "graduated" from Speech Therapy!!  Larisa and Ramona met with her the middle of April and did an assessment of her progress and decided that she is doing very well.  It is the sweetest thing to listen to her adorable little voice and hear her express her thoughts and emotions.  We have been waiting 2.5 years for this moment and we are soaking up all the expressions and words that cheerfully come from her.  Thank you Ramona, Larisa and Children's Therapy Center for all your love and support during this transition.  We appreciate you so much.

The second major event that happened in April was ..... NATTIE POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!  After she completed speech therapy, I felt like there was no excuse for her not to use the potty.  She was already super aware when she needed/went to potty and just needed cool undies and a push.  Within days of starting the process, this little girl is fully potty trained and is very proud of herself!  I can't believe we no longer have babies in diapers at our house - PHEW!  We couldn't be more proud of Nat and continue to celebrate after every trip to the potty.  GREAT JOB SNEAK!

As you can see, we have been very busy and enjoying our Spring together!  I hope everyone has a great May!  We love you all

Hugs!
