Moving Forward!

Hi everyone!  I'm writing to you from our annual camping trip on beautiful Lake Roosevelt!  We are having a wonderful time and can't get enough of this wonderful sunny weather.  Because we are on vacay, I'm going to keep this blog pretty simple.  We do have a bunch of fun information to share with everyone this month!

The biggest news we have to share is that WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!  We finally found our house in Maple Valley and actually moved in on July 16th.  It is in the perfect location for our family - as it is close to our favorite parks, HWY 18 for Ryan to get to work and our friends!  We have a little work to do in order to make it our own but it is well underway.  New blog I will include finished pictures of our place for everyone.  The kids love the new house and have made a ton of new friends.  This neighborhood reminds me of when we grew up - running around barefoot, eating ice cream and riding bikes.  Cameron took more adjusting than Natalie.  He doesn't like chaos or disorganization and was quite verbal over this.  Even though we are gone for the week, I have seen a change (for the better) in his attitude.  I hope he continues to thrive.

Everyone is doing well and we are enjoying summer.  Nat has really come out of her shell in terms of trying new things (swimming in the lake, getting dirty, boat rides, etc).  This is the 3rd camping trip we have done THIS MONTH!  August is going to be amazing too - we are off to Hawaii at the end of the month!!

I hope everyone is having a great summer like us. Sorry this blog is so short, we have to get to the beach!  Unfortunately, the connection is terrible.  I will post our photos for the month on Wednesday! Love to all

ADDITION!  We just got home from our camping trip to Lake Roosevelt!  We all had such a great time and both kids were totally bummed that we had to leave.  Last year, we only stayed 2 nights (the kids were new to camping and still very young), this year we stayed 4 nights!  The rest of the group camps for a whole week and we will be joining them the entire time next year!  It was so nice to be able to relax and not worry about unpacking and decorating the new place.  It was also nice to spend quality time with my aunts, uncles and cousins.  I see them a lot but it was great to make memories like this.  All of their friends are amazing too - we felt so loved!!

The previous weekend, we spend Friday and Saturday (part of Sunday) with our friends, the Snook family!  We decided to camp over at Sequim Bay State Park and it was sooooo fun!  Carla and Matt have two adorable daughters, Annabel and Charlotte and my kiddos had so much fun hanging out with them.  It was great to hang out with Carla and Matt because they too have younger kids and don't mind going to bed early!!  Saturday we decided to take the kids to the Game Farm!  Everyone had such a good time and we all couldn't stop laughing!  Let's do it again next year Snooks!

The first weekend of July, we spent the long 4th of July weekend at Ocean Shores with my brother, Heather and her family.  I think this sparked Cameron's love for camping.  He was absolutely in heaven rolling around in the sand, being buried, smores and fireworks!  Natalie LOVED being snuggly in the back of the van with all her snacks!  Both kids were the center of attention and got a ton of play time in with Auntie and Unkie.  Such a great feeling to sit back and know that my babies are being loved on.  That weekend was a great memory and I hope that we can do that more.  Thanks for the invite Cindy and Dougie!!

As you can tell, we have been extremely busy lately - but with fun activities!  Both kids are doing great and Ryan and I couldn't be happier.  ENJOY AUGUST!!
