Busy Bee

Hi Everyone! The month of April was a very busy and fun month for our little family! Ryan turned 30 on the 17th (I still can't believe it!), we found out the gender of the baby that same day, morning sickness is completely gone (YAY!) and Cameron is more mobile than ever. I will start with Cameron because he is the star of the blog. Cam is continuing "My Gym" every Monday morning and is loving it. Every week, he seems to become more and more outgoing and friendly with not only the kids, but the other parents and his two wonderful teachers. Today was the most outgoing I've ever seen him. Cam was laughing loudly while RUNNING (Yes I said RUNNING!) around the gym. He was saying "Hi" to the kids, trying new things and being brave by experimenting without mama. I had a constant smile on my face this morning - it was amazing. He has two little friends at the gym that he plays with the most. Abbie and Mason - Abbie is his little girlfriend! They follow each other around, it's the sweetest thing! Cammers continues to expand his vocabulary and actions weekly it feels. His current favorite thing is trains. We can hear trains from our new house and every time one toots its horn, Cameron gets a huge smile and says, "CHOO CHOO!!" It's the cutest thing! Daddy took him to see the trains on Saturday - he was a little scared being that close and clung onto Daddy (Which I'm sure Ryan loved). We have had several visitors this month also and it makes moving feel ok. Daily the house feels more like home. Nightly, we take family walks to the neighborhood park and Cameron gets to go down the slides and run around. It is so nice! Speaking of visitors, Kate came down at the beginning of the month and took some pictures of Cam! THANKS KATES! She always spoils us! April was the sick month in the Thody household. It was a long month! Cameron got 3 out of 4 of his molars (the 4th is right under the skin) at the same time, making sleeping, eating, diapering a HUGE pain and challenge. I felt so bad for him. To make matters worse, he picked up a horrible cold and was nice enough to share it with both Mama and Daddy. For two weeks, Cam didn't sleep through the night (waking up every 1-2 hours or so). It was terrible. After our colds passed, Cameron developed an ear infection! After a week of amoxicillian and NO SLEEP, the ear infection was gone. The very next day, he woke up with the worst cough I have ever heard - he sounded like a barking seal. So back to the doctor we went! After his exam, his Ped said he developed Croup. Great. He had to take steroids for 3 days. Poor little guy. I felt SO BAD for him! He is now back to his happy self now - sleeping 12 hours at night and napping 2+ hours during the day! YIPPEE! I'm so thankful this is only Cameron's second cold ever. I'm not cut out for this! Last Wednesday, Cam got his very first haircut! He did really well for having a stranger come at him with scissors! He looks like a little man now - adorable! Cameron continues to amazing me everyday. He is the light of my life and makes my day so much more exciting. I'm in love! Big news with baby #2 this month. We found out the gender on Ryan's birthday! It's a girl!! I couldn't believe it!! I asked the Ultrasound tech to check again! We are over the moon excited that we will have one of each. Everything looked great with the baby - growing on track, wiggling around happily and even sucking her thumb! I go back in for a check up this Thursday. Cameron still has no idea what is going on. To conclude this blog, I have a TON of pictures!! The ones that are good quality are Kate's of course! Thanks for reading! ENJOY!
