Hi everyone!
WOW - summer has totally hit Washington state lately! The weather has been fabulous in the mid 70s! June was a crazy busy month for us (as usual). The kids finished school for the summer and Cameron graduated from Preschool! I know it sounds corny because it's only Preschool, but I can't believe I have a child in elementary school. The last 5.5 years have totally flown by - I'm sad that he won't be with me all day, everyday but I'm also excited for him to start this new chapter in his life. He is absolutely going to love Kindergarten and cannot wait to meet new people and have a new teacher. I think it is finally hitting him that he isn't going to be going back to see Ms Keely anymore. This week he has asked several times when he can see her again : ( Fortunately, Natalie will be attending Wee Sprouts again and he will be able to see his old teachers again.
Another big milestone that happened in June was Ryan and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on the 2nd! I can't believe how fast 10 years has flown by!!! We celebrated by going out to dinner and a show in Tacoma - it was so much fun. Ryan surprised me by having the same jeweler that designed my wedding and engagement rings, design a 10 year anniversary band! I was absolutely speechless and thrilled! I surprised Ryan by giving him a framed picture of Natalie wearing my wedding gown (Thank you Kate!). He loved it and it was wonderful to see the look on his face. I wanted to give him something meaningful and priceless.
Natalie had her last dance class/recital on Wednesday night! It was absolutely adorable! She really had a wonderful time during dance and cannot wait to start it back up in the fall. The song that she danced to was "You're Welcome" from the movie Moana. The girls wore black and hot pink outfits with Hawaiian flowers in their hair. I think she really enjoyed being the center of attention : )
Both kids are doing wonderfully and seem to be growing leaps and bounds. Cameron is my little helper and keeps me on track when I need it the most. There are zero lazy days in the Thody household - even during the summer! He pushes me to clean the house every Tuesday, work out and we even go for walks to pick up garbage and recycling from the roads. He is a very intelligent, compassionate person that is always willing to help. I'm very proud of my little man.
Natalie is such a goofball and LOVES to make people laugh! We are finding out that she loves to be the center of attention and knows how to dominate situations. She is becoming such a wonderful little lady and it is SO much fun to have a little girl. I'm very lucky to have such a fun, independent girl. I hope she continues to be true to herself and know that she is amazing and unique.
With school finished and most activities/sports completed, we will be doing a lot of camping and hiking this summer. My friend Kate is getting married the end of July (YAY!) and we all look forward to that exciting weekend. We started the celebration by traveling to Chelan the weekend of June 9th for her bachelorette party. It was beautiful over there and we all had a great time!
I'm going to keep this post a little short because I have a lot of things to do for Ocean Shores! Have a fabulous 4th of July weekend and a great month! Love to all
