April Showers bring May Flowers!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful spring and enjoying this amazing weather.  April was very busy for our family - swimming lessons, baseball games, tee ball, Ryan's birthday and more!  The weather is getting better and better - sun one day and heavy rain the next.  The kids absolutely LOVE the rain and can't get enough stomping in puddles and mud.  They have a great time.

Both kids are having a great time exploring different activities during the day and I'm trying my best to keep everything new and exciting for them.  We have been having a lot of playdates, playing at different parks, zoo and aquarium visits, backyard picnics, swings and slides and more.  Keeping two toddlers entertained and happy is definitely a challenge and sometimes I worry I'm lacking.  Some days I just want to lay around and do nothing - but we all know that is impossible.  The kids are doing a bit better with self-entertaining lately and I hope they will really start playing together more as friends.  Cammie is beginning to want to play one on one with friends now (before it was more lateral playing).  Natalie just wants to follow her brother around and act like a big kid!

Cameron recently started Teeball!!!!  We are very excited for him to start this new adventure in sports and I bet he is going to want to to try more in the future.  He had his first official practice on Tuesday and it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen.  There are 10 kids on the team (boys and girls) and Ryan is the coach!  At practice, the kids decided that the team name would be "The Big Red Dragons"!  There team color is red and they are very excited.  Cammie was a little disappointed because he wanted the team to be named "The Blue Pigeons"  Silly little boy.  Their first game is on Saturday in Maple Valley - I'm really bummed out because I won't be able to attend the first two games!  I feel like the worst mama ever!!!!  I have two baby showers this Saturday and I"m going to Las Vegas next weekend.  Heather was right, I will have many many games to go to this season!

We decided to switch Cammie's swim lessons to Sundays because he is doing so well!  He actually moved up a class!  We want to stay consistent and make sure he doesn't forget what he has learned.  There is no back to back classes for Nattie on Sundays so we will be taking her to the open swim to give her a chance to get water time.  As you can see, our weekends are disappearing like crazy!  I wouldn't have it any other way though - my kids are having a great time.

Cameron is doing great and I can't imagine what life has in store for this little man.  He still in totally in love with cars, trucks, construction vehicles, emergency vehicles - basically anything that has wheels!!  He is so smart and craves learning.  He wants to know what every truck on the road has inside of it and where it is going.  Cammie is still digging books and his favorite series of books is called "Elephant and Piggie" They are the cutest little pair of friends that have many adventures.  He even reads them to us from memory - SO SMART!!  I absolutely couldn't be more proud of my Mister.  He is so loving, sweet, well behaved and adorable!!  Here are Cammie's favorite things this month:

- Cement Trucks
- Window Stickers
- Milk
- Sand table
- Going on Nature Walks
- Elephant and Piggie Books

Ms Nattie is doing well too.  Her favorite thing to do right now is color with crayons and sidewalk chalk.  She loves shoes, wearing dress up jewelry, Toy story, Minnie Mouse and eating!  She has so much personality and will, I cannot wait to see who she grows up to be.  I absolutely LOVE dressing her up and doing her soft hair.  Nattie has the most infectious smile and giggle (she even covers her mouth when she giggles).  Her favorite books right now are, "Dinosaur Roar", "Baby Loves To Boogie", "I Love You Through and Through", "Good Night Moon" and "Dear Zoo"  Here are her favorite things this month:

- MiMi (Her Little Minnie Mouse)
- Coloring
- Her shopping cart
- Her Lovie and Binkie
- Bubbles
- Her Dinosaur jammies

As of right now, Natalie is still not talking.  I followed my mama instincts and decided to have her evaluated by SKIP Early Intervention Program.  As my gut told me, she evaluated high in motor skills, social skills and expression but scored very low in verbal communication.  Unfortunately she will be needing some Speech Therapy to help her learn how to verbally communicate.  I'm happy that she scored high in all the other categories but I can't help but be disappointed that my baby needs therapy.  As a mama, I want everything to be easy for my kids.  I know that is extremely unrealistic, but I want them to be happy and get everything positive that they deserve.  I'm hoping that everything goes well for my sweet girl and she will soon be able to communicate with ease and her frustration will disappear.  I love her so much.  Both of my babies!!

I hope you all have a wonderful May and Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mommies out there!!  Here are this month's pictures.  Hugs!
