Goodbye 2013!

Hi friends and family!

Wow - what a wonderful holiday season we had this year!  We had a lot of play dates, birthdays, parties and more! December was incredibly busy and I can't wait to have life slow down a bit : )  Christmas was extra fun this year because Cameron is at a fun age where he finally understands Santa, enjoys the gifts instead of wrapping paper, loves to eat food and Christmas music (Ry's favorite).  Both kids were beyond spoiled by friends and family - we were too - Thank you to everyone who made Christmas so much fun!

January is going to be a little less overwhelming for us.  We are celebrating my Mama's birthday and having a family get together for the December/January birthdays.  Nattie has her 4 month check up and Cammie has his 2 year check up!  OMG where did the time go!!!???  Other than that, we will be doing a lot of play dates, my gym days and mall walking.  Ok, lets get to the kiddos!

I don't even know where to start with Cammie.  He has accomplished so much this past month, it's unbelievable! He is now speaking sentences and repeating almost every word we tell him to with ease.  Cammie's favorite sayings are: "I do it" "I did it!" "Put it down" "Fast cars!" "I walk" "Mac n cheese" "Curious George" "Halloweeeeen" "Grilled Cheese" "Toy Story" "Elmo Bath (Its his bubble bath)" and more.  With that said, he has learned a new word we are not too keen on - NO.  He only uses it when he is answering a question mostly, which is good I guess.  I'm still trying to give him any many options as I can when it comes to our daily routine.  I ask him what he wants to eat, when he wants to eat, what he wants to do, etc.  I still strictly enforce nap time (still napping for 2.5 + hours!!)  and family dinner time though.  I still want to have him on a schedule because I feel like he does better throughout the day.

Cam knows the whole alphabet and is starting to learn how to sing it.  It is the cutest thing I've ever heard!  He can identify a few colors already (Purple, Blue, Red and Orange) and is currently working with numbers.  He can count to 5 when he wants to : )  Cammie is still obsessed with Cars, Thomas the Train and Toy Story.  He is starting to enjoy Curious George (he can say it too!)  I forgot how cute that show is.  Potty training is really starting to take off.  He is doing so well and is motivated to go if stickers and chocolate is the reward!  The month of January will be big for Mr - No more diapers!  We are going to start pull ups and big boy undies!  GO CAMMIE!

I asked Cammie what he favorite things were this month and this is what he wanted me to put:
     - Nona and Papa
     - Thomas
     - Cars
     - Trucks
     - B and Lola
     - Choo Choo
     - Boots

He loves to do artwork, fingerpainting, coloring and crafts too.  Cammie also LOVES to help me clean, do laundry, bring me diapers/wipes, throw things into the trash, give Nattie her binky and blow kisses.  He loves to dance around with a serious face on to his favorite songs (This is Halloween, A Pooh Bear takes care of his tummy, The Baxon and Can't hold us).  Cammie is still loving My Gym and enjoys showing off and playing with his teachers (Hi Coach Mike!)  He has totally become a little person!  It has been crazy to see him grow over the last two years.  I am amazingly blessed that I was given the chance to stay at home with him for the last two years and wouldn't have done it any other way.  I can't believe my baby boy is turning two today... It's bittersweet because I LOVE watching him become a little person, learning new things and deciding what he wants to be like, but on the other hand, I miss having him need me all the time.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I could hand pick my son, I would have picked Cameron Michael.  I love him so much.

Natalie is doing SO WELL! She is continuing to sleep in our room because she is still the perfect roommate!  She only wakes up once a night to nurse then falls right back to sleep.  When we finally transition her into her own room (NEVER!!) I will certainly miss her little sighs, sleeping giggles and her farts!  Nattie has the biggest smile I have ever seen on a baby!  She is almost always in a great mood and loves to hang out with us.  She really gets a kick out of Cammie and smiles big when he is around her.  Nattie can now roll from back to front and front to back!  She can hold rattles, binkies and her lovie (bear stuffed animal attazched to a little security blanket) Natalie is officially in size 2 diapers and size 6 month clothes - BIG GIRL! She has been an absolute joy to have in our lives and I couldn't imagine her not here.  Natalie is everything I wanted in a daughter and more.  I'm so blessed!!!

These past two years have been the most trying yet most rewarding.  Two years ago I went from working full time, eating out everyday, sleeping in, enjoying downtime, driving my GTI to being a stay at home mama to not one but two sweet babies, eating the crust from peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches for lunch, getting up several times a night and at the crack of dawn, folding clothes as downtime and driving a mini van (YES! We finally bought a van!).  I wouldn't change a thing.  I love being a mama.

Next week I will be posting a special blog that is just for Cammie's birthday and birthday party!  As always, here are this months pictures of the kids!  Love to all...

Thank You.
