Summertime Fun!
Hi everyone! Well, another month has passed and boy was it filled with a lot of fun! This summer has been flying by and our family is definitely staying busy! We had a wonderful visit with our lovely friends from Iceland at the beginning of the month (It was SO GREAT to see the kids playing together outside!!), a good friend got married (Ryan and Cam were both in the wedding), my family and Ryan's family both threw baby girl showers! (Thank you Aunt Sandie, Aunt Rosie, Cindee and Cynthia!), I still am taking Cam to My Gym once a week - I can proudly say we haven't missed a day! And finally, I have been viciously nesting, cleaning and organizing baby girls room and well, the entire house. BIG SHOUT OUT TO RYAN FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME! I love you honey!! We were also spoiled again by the amazing Kate and Zon! They came to our house and took Cam's 18 month pictures and my maternity pictures. Thank you ladies SO much for doing this. You have no idea how much this means to us!
Lets get to the best part of the blog - The kids! Cameron is SO much fun! He is such an amazing little guy that is totally figuring out what he likes now. He is now OBSESSED with cars (the movie and the actual car). We discovered the movie on tv one day and ended up recording it. Now every morning, Cam wakes up saying "CARS" and wants to watch cars while holding his toy car while drinking water out of his car cup. Every. Day. Such a boy!! He also loves trucks, trains, motor cycles and airplanes. Our evenings are so laid back and relaxing and we have started a little routine: Daddy comes home from work, we play outside (swings, swimming, sprinklers and "pile making"), mama makes dinner, we eat then go for a walk as a family. I love to be with my boys and can't wait to have my sweet baby girl here to enjoy! Cammie gets to choose if he wants to ride his trike or wagon and it is usually a big decision. He is very observant and loves to ask questions. My absolute favorite thing he does right now is when he finishes something himself, he runs up and says, "I did!!!!" I love it! Two weeks ago, something big happened. I was talking to my mom on the phone when Cammie ran up and grabbed my legs. He looked at me and said, "I poo! I poo" I asked him if he needed to go and he said "uh nuh" (which means yes to him of course). Ryan and I walked him to the bathroom and had him sit on the potty and he went!! I couldn't believe it!! I was so proud over a turd! So potty training is moving along nicely so far I guess. Cammie impresses me every week at My Gym. He is climbing, running, trying new things, jumping on the trampoline, swimming in the ball pit, swinging and more. He is a fearless little boy who is far from shy. In fact, he has a little girlfriend there, Abby. He says her name the second he sees her in the class and they follow each other around. SO CUTE!! When we leave, he says "Abby bye bye" and blows her kisses. As I said earlier, Cameron was in a friend's wedding a couple weeks ago - he rocked it as the ring bearer. He did such a great job and looked ADORABLE in his little suit! I was so proud of him because he walked down the aisle alone in front of 130+ people. He was able to stay up to 1030 that night, dancing and eating cake. We all had a good time. I can't wait to see what next month has in store for my little bug. He continues to surprise me and make me proud every day. I'm so looking forward to seeing what Cam thinks of his little sister.
Every thing with baby girl is going well. Next week, I begin my every other week OB appointments which is the light at the end of the tunnel! My appointments are all checking great - she is measuring perfect, my weight/BP is on point and her HR is great. My number one worry is still making it to the hospital in time! NIGHTMARE! I have my bag packed, baby girl's bag pack, Cameron's is started and Ryan is organizing his things to pack. I stalked up on dog food, dog treats, baby tylenol, shampoo, soaps and more. I decided to spoil myself and I am having a house cleaner come at the end of the month to deep clean the house so I don't have to worry about it after she comes. The only thing I have left to do is make my freezer meals. I did this with Cameron and it was the best idea I ever had! I'm planning on making 10 different freezer meals that will give us 20+ meals. Speaking of spoiling, I decided to do something I normally would never do. Next weekend, my mom and I are going to Bell square and checking in to a hotel for the night. We are getting massages and facial too! I am SO EXCITED to have a little babymoon and enjoy some quality time with my wonderful mama. It should be amazing. We are totally set for baby girl to come. Her room is set, diapers/wipes are stocked and bags are packed. We are ready! Who knows, the next post might be after the baby comes!
Here are some adorable pictures of Cameron from his 18 month photo shoot, maternity pictures and every day pics. Enjoy and have a great August!
