Little Waddler
Hi all! What a crazy two weeks its been since my last post! We are officially finished unpacking and the new place is really starting to feel like home. Cameron loves having the big staircase to climb, his own huge play room and endless space to walk around. That's right - walk around! Cam is walking and sometimes running around now! Apparently he just needed more space to move in order to start walking. He is the cutest little thing waddling around with his little booty! My biggest desire is to find a couple young moms down in the south end to spend time with and let our little ones play. I decided that Cameron would love to do something that burns off his energy and gives him the ability to show off. The first week we moved down to Auburn, I signed him up for a membership at "My Gym." "My Gym" gives Cameron the chance to run around and try new things like zip lines, ball pits, balance beams, swings and slides while teaching him patience and listening skills. He absolutely LOVES it!! He is going from the time we get there until I drag him out! We go every monday : ) I also decided to try toddler story time at the library last week. Cameron really liked that too! The teacher reads stories, puts on puppet shows, sings songs and dances. After the 30 minute program, all the kids run over to the toy corner and bring out a ton of toys. For 30 minutes, all the kids get to play together and learn sharing skills. We didn't even make it out of the parking lot before he fell asleep - I think he liked it. Within the last two weeks, his motor skills, knowledge of body parts and direction has improved drastically. He can now point out his mouth, nose, ears, teeth, eyes (bats his lashes) and tongue when asked. It is the cutest thing! Cameron can execute tasks when asked such as, "Can you bring that to Daddy?""Can you please close the door?""Which snack do you want?""Go choose a book." He is such a good listener and I am very proud of him. His love of books is still super strong and it is still his favorite thing to do. He is using "PPPPPPP" (Please) a lot more, sometimes on his own but mostly after asked, "what do you say?" Cameron is a total dream child! If I could hand pick my child, I would have Cam. My favorite thing that he is doing this month is snuggling just because. Cam will crawl up on my lap and straddle my tummy (facing me) and lay his little head on my chest. He loves to watch videos of himself on my phone while I scratch his sweet little back. My absolute favorite time of day. I adore him and I know all of his family and little friends do too. What a special gift we have. Next month will be a crazy busy one. Ryan turns the big 3-0, Cameron has his 15 month appointment, we find out the gender of the baby and much, much more! Speaking of baby #2, I am finally feeling better - I think that horrible morning sickness is far behind me! I'm very much showing now and was feeling pretty down about myself lately. My wonderful mama picked up on this and came down on Saturday and took me out for the day. We went out to lunch and then shopping for new maternity clothes. I got a few adorable pieces that make me feel very beautiful and comfortable in my ever changing body. Thank you mama for taking the time to make me feel like I'm still your little girl - I LOVE YOU! As I said before, in about 2 weeks we will find out the gender of the baby. We are super excited and I can't wait to see what is growing inside of me! I've only felt the baby kick a couple times and I'm now sleeping comfortable (for now). Well, to finish up this blog, here are some pictures of the Ham! Bye for now!

Big changes for our little family!
Hi everyone!!
If you all read my facebook post this afternoon, you now know one of the reasons why the blog is late this month. I wanted to be able to tell everyone the good news and all the happenings in this months blog. So, it is now official, Cameron is going to be a big brother!! He doesn't quite know exactly what is going on but I have a feeling that soon he will begin to understand. He loves lifting up my shirt and patting my stomach (not mama's favorite!) and saying the word "Baby". I'm one lucky mama because he is so snuggly and helpful. I've been super sick this entire pregnancy so far and it would have been a lot harder with a crazy toddler. At 6 weeks, I had my first ultrasound to determine if that nasty cyst was back and thankfully it is long gone! I had an ultrasound, blood draw and OBGYN appointment this morning and everything looks great. The baby is growing like crazy! From the first ultrasound to the one today, the baby has grown a lot. The original due date was September 16th but it is looking like it will be sooner than that.
Another huge change for our family is that we are moving to Auburn! We made the decision to sell our house and move closer to Ryan's work in Federal Way. It just made the most sense figuring I quit to be a stay at home mom. We actually move this Saturday! That's right people, the day after tomorrow!! Stay tuned for pictures of the new place. Should be a busy couple of weeks!
Finally, the most important part of the blog - CAM THE HAM! This little boy is so funny! He is becoming quite a little comedian and loves to do goofy things. He stands on his head like a little tripod, makes funny noises and is constantly trying to make me laugh. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't laugh and smile for most of the day. He is really walking around now (still prefers to cruise around on all fours still) and is talking a lot more. He now is starting to ask directly for things and is communicating way better. For example, when he wants milk, he points to his tippy cup and says "BABA?" I'm trying my best to teach his the word "Please" and I think he understands it. When he yells at me to give him something, I quietly ask him to say please. He squishes his face up and says, "Pppppp." He gets whatever he wants after that! Cam snuggles on command (also does it himself), fluffs pillows, dances on command (also by himself), smiles when you smile at him and gives kisses! He does the sign for all done FINALLY and this is the best thing EVER! He is eating a lot more foods and loves to share snacks. Packing with a toddler has been both a challenge and surprisingly fun. He really loves to help push the boxes to the garage and tape things. I think it is safe to say that he is the best little guy ever! Teeth are shooting out of his gums daily (it feels). He has 6 teeth and is currently cutting 3 more! He even has a molar - yep, just one. For massively teething, he is being a pretty good boy. He has his moments when it gets the best of him but overall, you wouldn't know it.
I'm sure I'm missing a ton of things but I now have baby brain and the brain of a toddler - JOY! Looking back over this blog, I feel that this was a great idea for me to do. With life being so hectic and crazy at times, it is wonderful to be able to read about Cameron and look at his pictures. I will start adding information/experiences about my second pregnancy on this blog as well. After the baby is born, I will have to add his/her name to the blog title! Better start thinking (Jonathan Hii is already hard at work!). Thank you to everyone who reads my blog - it means a lot that some follow our growing little family. Here are current pics of the Ham! Enjoy!
And here are pictures of the new baby : )
