Hi Everyone! I can't believe that October is over already!! We had a great month with GREAT weather! October is by far my favorite month and this year was a treat because we had amazing crisp, fall weather. We spent most of the month walking/riding bikes outside, playing kickball and soccer. I can't wait to see what November has in store for us. I do really like storms too - THE BEST!!
Cameron is almost done with his second month of Kindergarten and is LOVING it!! He has a bit of homework every night and looks forward to working on his reading and assignment packet. Cam is also the table leader for the second month now (a table leader is a kid that is basically a role model for the class). He takes his job very seriously and it is actually helping him speak up and communicate with other kids. I volunteered at his "Harvest Party" on Halloween and had such a great time! The best part was after the moms set up the party, the kids walked into the classroom and Cameron's face was lit up when he saw me. That made me feel AMAZING!! His party had a pumpkin craft station, decorating your own cookie station, pumpkin bowling station and slime station! All the kids had an amazing time and I'm so thankful I was able to experience it (Thank you TUTU for spending special time with Nattie!!)
Cameron just finished his outdoor soccer season and will be wrapping up swimming this weekend. He was awesome this season and tried VERY hard! Cam mastered not only goals but passing, dribbling and teamwork. He loves soccer so much that we decided to sign him up for Indoor soccer in January. I think that he will excel and LOVE it. Swimming was much more challenging this session. The YMCA decided to combine Cameron's class with an older class this session (WITHOUT TELLING US). Their expectations of him were very high and he struggled a bit - but in Cam fashion, he tried his best and never quit. We are SO proud of him and want him to learn that even if things are tough, you cannot quit!
Natalie is doing great in school and loves every single class! I was nervous at first because she did the 3's class last year but as time goes on, she is right where she needs to be. This is teaching her patience and flexibility - which 4 year old need badly! Ms Melissa said that she is very helpful in class and is acting as a great role model for others. She is all smiles when I pick her up! I do wish she was at Preschool a little longer, only because she is ready for more independence. I really do miss her when she is away from me.
Nat is still loving her dance class and looks forward to it every Thursday. She is really doing a fantastic job at learning the positions of ballet and tap moves - so adorable to watch! Nat is also about to complete her session of swimming lessons this weekend. She is doing AMAZING!! This is probably the best session she has ever had (Maddyson is her instructor) and she seems so confident in the water now. We haven't made the final decision if we want to take a break or start right back up at the Covington pool instead of the YMCA. Stay Tuned!
Last month, I was really sad about Cameron going off to Kindergarten. Two months into this experience, I have to say that we are all adjusting and enjoying this phase of our lives. Cameron is being challenged and seems to be really excelling socially and developmentally. Nat and myself are REALLY enjoying special time together! I have never had independent time with Natalie and it is so much fun. We went to see the My Little Pony Movie together earlier this month (just the two of us) and had a great time! We go shopping, go to Target, bike rides and just hang out together. She is such a happy, enjoyable little girl and I'm beyond lucky to be her Mama.
I'm very thankful to be so fortunate to stay at home with my babies. I never thought I would be a Stay At Home Mom but I'm fully embracing it and couldn't be more thankful to Ryan for working so hard. I love making lunches, making little notes, dropping/picking up, packing backbacks and volunteering in their classes. This is exactly what I want to be doing right now and I'm lucky to have the best kids in the world!
Halloween was yesterday and the kids had a BLAST!! Cameron went as a Ninja and Natalie went as a black kitty cat. The girls were a frog and a lobster (going on 10 years!) and little Cookie (Natalie's pink cat) was a super hero. The kids did so many fun craft projects at school and at home this month - our house is so colorful! Trick or Treating was so fun and the kids made a killing on candy! We trick or treated with our cool neighbors, Matt, Brooke, Kendall and Austin - fun was had by all!
I hope everyone has a great November! Get ready for the Holidays because they are flying up on us quick! HUGS!
